Sahrawi Chargé d’Affaires in Bolivia discusses academic cooperation with Dean of Bolivian Catholic University to promote national cause

La Paz, Bolivia – June 11, 2025 (SPS) –  The Chargé d’Affaires of the Sahrawi Republic Embassy in Bolivia, Mr. Ambarik Abdallah, met Wednesday with the Dean of the Bolivian Catholic University in La Paz to discuss bilateral cooperation and academic exchange aimed at raising awareness about the Sahrawi cause, its legal, political, and humanitarian dimensions.

The Sahrawi diplomatic representative briefed the Bolivian university dean and his accompanying delegation on the developments of the Western Sahara conflict and its historical roots, emphasizing the political situation and its connection to international law and international relations—a rich and expansive field for students and researchers in academic and intellectual circles.

The Dean of the Bolivian Catholic University, along with members of his administration, expressed solidarity with the Sahrawi people’s struggle and committed to promoting their just cause, ensuring it is included in academic discussions and research studies.

Both sides stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation mechanisms between the Bolivian Catholic University and the University of Tifariti, coordinating to establish bilateral agreements and organizing joint workshops and seminars across Bolivian universities in support of the Sahrawi people’s struggle, resilience, and the justice of their cause.
