Algiers, March 9, 2025 (SPS) - Mrs. Fatima Zahra Zarouati, President of the Tajamou Amal El Djazair (TAJ) party, has reaffirmed her party's support and solidarity with the Sahrawi people and their just cause.
This statement was made during a public rally organized in Skikda on the occasion of International Women's Day, celebrated on March 8th. The TAJ party renewed its solidarity with the Sahrawi people's struggle, congratulating, on this occasion, the role that Sahrawi women play in the fight for liberation and independence.
Fatima Zahra Zarouati said that Sahrawi women have left significant marks on contemporary Sahrawi history through their participation and presence in all fields of Sahrawi activism, both nationally and internationally. The party president added that Sahrawi women will have a great future in building an independent Sahrawi state.
For his part, Abdelkader Taleb Omar, member of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, Ambassador to Algeria, who attended the event, praised the steadfast and supportive positions of the Algerian state regarding the Sahrawi people's struggle.
He congratulated Algerian women on this occasion, while also reminding everyone of the struggles endured by Algerian women against the suffering and oppression of French colonialism.
The Sahrawi ambassador also addressed the human rights violations perpetrated by the Moroccan regime in the occupied territories of Western Sahara, highlighting the oppression, imprisonment, and torture faced by Sahrawi women.
