Shaheed El Hafed, December 18, 2024 (SPS) - The Polisario Front, in a statement concluding the work of the Permanent Bureau of the National Secretariat, chaired by the President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, saluted the resistance of the Sahrawi people in the face of the conspiracies and attempts by the Moroccan occupation regime to impose the rejected colonial status quo.
Among its most important and prominent manifestations, the statement adds, is the continuation of the armed struggle and the heroic battles fought by the heroes of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army against the occupying forces entrenched behind the wall of humiliation and shame.
The statement praised the steadfastness of our people in the occupied territories, who face all forms of repression, restrictions, and confiscation of property with bare chests. It also expressed solidarity with the Sahrawi political prisoners, foremost among them the prisoners of Gdeim Izik.
The Permanent Bureau of the National Secretariat noted the remarkable presence of the Sahrawi Republic at the events and activities of the African Union, the latest of which was the extraordinary session of the Council of African Foreign Ministers and the Conference of African Ministers of Education held in Nouakchott, as well as the Conference of the International Association of Jurists held in the European Parliament, which called for the implementation and respect of the recent decisions of the European Court of Justice.
The Permanent Bureau of the National Secretariat, on behalf of the Sahrawi people, expressed its appreciation and gratitude to the sisterly Algeria, its government, and its people, led by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, for their principled positions filled with solidarity, support, and unconditional backing for the just struggle of the Sahrawi people.
