Pamplona (Spain), 16 April 2024 (SPS) - The General Union of Workers of Saguia El Hamra and Rio de Oro (UGTSARIO) signed a cooperation and partnership agreement with the Spanish LAB trade union, aiming to deepen areas of cooperation between the two organizations in the future.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the Sahrawi side by the Secretary General of the UGTSARIO, Salama Bashir, and on behalf of the Spanish side by the Secretary General, at the LAB trade union headquarters in Navarre province.
During the meeting, Mr. Salama Bashir, who was accompanied by the Polisario Front representative in Navarre, Hamdi Mansour, delivered a speech in which he praised the "excellent relations that have linked the two unions for decades," while also reviewing the situation of the Sahrawi labor movement since its founding in the 1970s.
The Polisario Front representative in Navarre also delivered a speech in which he informed the audience about the various details of the Sahrawi national struggle and resistance over the past decades.
