Wilaya of Awsard, December 28, 2023 (SPS) - The National Seminar of Media kicked off this morning in the wilaya of Awsard, in the presence of a member of the National Secretariat, Prime Minister, Mr. Boushraya Hamoudi Bayoun, and members of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, the government, and the media family.
The seminar, which is held under the slogan “Effective National Media to confront the occupation policy,” was marked by a welcoming speech by the Governor of the wilaya of Awsard, Ms. Khira Bullahi Abad, in which she stressed the wilaya’s interest in promoting and developing the media in general and the neighborhood media in particular, considering that the National Seminar of Media is an exceptional space for the elites to raise challenges and keep pace with changes and circumstances.
During his speech on this occasion, the Minister of Information, Mr. Hamada Salama Al-Daf, touched on the National Media’s accompaniment with the victorious march of the Sahrawi people since the beginning of the seventies of the last century, stressing the need to pay attention and strengthen the human aspect, which is the basic factor in any work.
He also touched on the challenges facing the National Media, calling on various partners to contribute to raising the pace of the media, which is the interface of national action through platforms and media outlets.
The seminar witnessed the presentation of the media speech, a documentary about national media history, and lectures on the media speech and media challenges. The seminar also honored journalists and concluded with a stand in solidarity with the Sahrawi political prisoners.
It is worth mentioning that the National Seminar of Media coincides with the date of the founding of the National Radio on December 28, 1975.
