Exercise of Sahrawi people’s right to self-determination and independence is only path to achieving just and lasting peace (President Ibrahim Ghali)

Wilaya of Auserd, April 8, 2026 (SPS) – The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Ibrahim Ghali, affirmed that the Sahrawi people’s exercise of their right to self-determination and independence is the only path to achieving a just and lasting peace.

In a speech delivered during the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic, President Ibrahim Ghali reiterated that enabling the Sahrawi people to exercise their inalienable and non-prescriptible right to self-determination and independence is the only way to establish a just and final peace.
