Bir Lehlou (Liberated Territories), 1 November 2026 (SPS) – President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Frente POLISARIO, Brahim Ghali, has sent a congratulatory message to Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune on the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of the outbreak of the glorious Algerian Revolution.
On behalf of himself, the Sahrawi people and government, President Ghali extended his warm congratulations to President Tebboune and, through him, to the brotherly Algerian people, wishing him success in his duties and Algeria further progress, prosperity and development.
In his message, President Ghali said that, despite the passage of decades, the Algerian Revolution remains an enduring symbol of the great Algerian people's struggle, firmly rooted in the memory of nations and an eternal emblem of the fight for liberation and freedom. He described it as a legacy for all humanity, embodying a glorious history of resistance, heroism, courage and sacrifice for freedom and dignity.
He noted that the revolution's impact extended far beyond Algeria's borders, reaching every continent and contributing significantly to accelerating decolonisation and independence movements across Africa and the world.
President Ghali also highlighted how the revolution's victory instilled successive generations of Algerians with pride, patriotism and a readiness to defend their homeland, following the example of the revolution's heroes and heroines and honouring the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country's freedom.
He further commended Algeria's development, major reforms and wide-ranging projects under President Tebboune's leadership, describing them as reflecting the spirit and principles of the 1 November Revolution.
The President Brahim Ghali reaffirmed the Sahrawi people's gratitude and appreciation for Algeria's principled and steadfast support for their just struggle for freedom, self-determination and independence. He added that the Sahrawi people continue to draw lessons of steadfastness, resistance and determination from the Algerian Revolution, its heroic history and the resilience of the Algerian people.
President Ghali concluded by renewing his congratulations and best wishes to President Tebboune and the brotherly Algerian people on this historic anniversary.
