Maputo, April 7, 2026 (SPS) – The President of the Republic of Mozambique, H.E. Mr. Daniel Francisco Chapo, has reaffirmed his strong commitment to enhancing bilateral relations with the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic and elevating them to higher levels.
In a congratulatory message sent to the President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the proclamation of the Sahrawi Republic, Mr. Francisco Chapo reiterated the steadfast commitment of the Mozambican government and people to continue working together to strengthen the historic ties of friendship and bilateral cooperation, in a way that brings mutual benefit to both peoples and countries, and contributes to greater unity, peace, and stability on the African continent.
A high-level Mozambican delegation is expected to participate in the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of the proclamation of the Sahrawi Republic, scheduled for April 8 and 9 in the wilaya of Awsard.
