
Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), 07 September 2025 (SPS) - The Second Summit between Africa and Caribbean nations (Africa-CARICOM) began this Sunday morning in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, with the presence of the President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali.
Leaders of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) are participating in the summit, along with the Secretary General of the group and regional and international representatives. They are there to discuss ways to enhance the strategic partnership with their African counterparts and advance cooperation in political, economic, and joint development fields.
The summit is also attended by the heads of the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the African Development Bank, the Caribbean Development Bank, and Afreximbank, as well as high-level representatives from the African Union, the United Nations, and a number of international organizations.
President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, has arrived, on Saturday, in Addis Ababa to participate in the Climate Summit and the Africa-Caribbean (CARICOM) Summit.
The President of the Republic was received at Bole International Airport by the Ethiopian Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Berhanu Tsegaye, and the Ambassador and Director-General of Protocol.
President Brahim Ghali is accompanied by a delegation that includes the Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Affairs, Mohamed Yeslem Beiset; the Minister of Water and Environment, member of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, Adda Brahim Ahmim; the Permanent Representative to the African Union, Lamine Baali; the Ambassador for the Caribbean, Mohamed Zroug; the Advisor to the Presidency of the Republic, Abdati Breika; and the Advisor to the Presidency of the Republic in charge of Media and the Arab World, Nanna Laban Rashid.
