President Brahim Ghali arrives in Maputo to attend Mozambique’s 50th independence anniversary celebrations

Maputo (Mozambique), June 24, 2025 (SPS) – The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, arrived Tuesday in the Mozambican capital, Maputo, to participate in the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of Mozambique’s independence, at the official invitation of his counterpart, President Daniel Chapo.

Upon his arrival at Maputo International Airport, President Ghali was welcomed by Mozambique’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Health.

The President is accompanied by a delegation that includes the Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Affairs, Mohamed Yeslem Beissat.
