Shaheed El Hafed, September 29, 2026 (SPS) – The Union of Students of Saguia el-Hamra and Río de Oro (UESARIO) organized an open day on university education for Sahrawi students who successfully passed this year’s Baccalaureate examination.
The event, organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training, aims to support students as they begin their university careers and provide them with the necessary guidance and advice for this new stage.
The open day featured speeches and interventions, including remarks by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training, Mr. Mustafa Mohamed Fadel, who emphasized the importance of the university stage and the seriousness and discipline it requires. He stressed the need to make academic achievement and excellence a priority and to take advantage of training and learning opportunities in ways that enable students to build successful academic and professional careers.
The UESARIO Secretary-General, Mr. Mohamed Lamin Saeed, addressed issues related to the role of the Sahrawi student. He emphasized that university is not merely a space for academic learning, but also an environment for developing student awareness, strengthening a sense of responsibility, and engaging with national issues.
