Shaheed El-Hafed, 02 January 2026 (SPS) – The Presidency of the Republic expressed its condolences to the Sahrawi people on the passing of the member of the Permanent Office of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, Minister of Occupied Territories and Communities Abroad, Mustapha Mohamed Ali Sidi El-Bashir, who passed away today, Friday, after a long illness.
In a statement, the Presidency of the Republic offered its sincere condolences to the Sahrawi people and to the family of leader Mustapha Mohamed Ali Sidi El-Bashir, praising the qualities he demonstrated throughout the positions and responsibilities he held in the State and the Front.
The statement added that the deceased remained diligent and committed even during the most severe stages of his illness, showing patience, calm, a combination of determination and strong will, along with a sense of humor, friendliness, confidence, and hope in the most difficult times and darkest moments, until his last breath — so that his name remains immortal alongside all the martyrs of the national cause.
