Dili (Timor-Leste), 16 November 2025 – The Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, H.E. Mr. Kay Rala Xanana Gusmao reiterates Timor-Leste firm stand with the Saharawi people in supporting their right to self-determination and full sovereignty over their land.
In reply message dated 4 Nov 2025 from the Prime Minister of Timor-Leste, H.E. Mr. Kay Rala Xanana Gusmao addressed to the President of the Saharawi Republic (SADR) and Secretary-General of POLISARIO Front, H.E. Mr. Brahim Ghali.
"Timor-Leste continues to stand firmly with the Saharawi people in supporting their right to self-determination and full sovereignty over their land.
We understand, from our own experience, the deep meaning of such aspirations and the moral duty of nations to support them.
The courage and resilience of the Saharawi people remain an inspiration to all who believe in freedom and human dignity," the Timorese Prime Minister wrote in the letter.
