Luanda (Angola), November 10, 2025 (SPS) – The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Frente POLISARIO, Mr. Brahim Ghali, arrived in the Angolan capital, Luanda, to take part in the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of Angola’s independence, at the invitation of his Angolan counterpart, João Lourenço.
Upon his arrival at Dr. António Agostinho Neto International Airport, President Ghali was received by the Secretary of State for Foreign Relations, Ms. Esmeralda Bravo Conde da Silva, accompanied by the Governor of Luanda Province. A unit of the Angolan Presidential Guard rendered him the honorary salute.
In the airport’s VIP lounge, President Brahim Ghali held talks with the Angolan Secretary of State for Foreign Relations.
This participation comes within the framework of strengthening the bilateral relations between the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic and Angola — two countries bound by a shared history of cooperation and anti-colonial struggle, reflecting the strength of the fraternal ties between their peoples.
President Brahim Ghali is accompanied by a delegation composed of Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Affairs, Mohamed Yeslem Beissat, Secretary in charge of Research, Studies, and Information at the Secretariat of Political Organization, member of the National Secretariat, Maluma Larbas, Presidential Adviser Abdati Brieka, Chief of Presidential Protocol, Ambassador Salha El Abed, and the Sahrawi Ambassador to Angola, Hamdi Khalil Mayara.
