Rabat, 3 October 2025 (SPS) - The Young Moroccans Collective, leading protests against the country’s socio-economic conditions and widespread corruption, has called for the government's resignation.

This demand follows a sixth consecutive night of demonstrations, marked by a violent crackdown that caused at least three deaths, according to several media reports on Friday.

"We are calling for the dissolution of the current government for its failure to uphold the constitutional rights of Moroccans and to address their social demands," the collective said in a statement addressed to the royal palace.

The group also called for the launch of a "fair judicial process to prosecute the corrupt."

The protests, which erupted last Saturday, persisted into Thursday across several Moroccan cities, underscoring a mounting public demand for enhanced healthcare and education services, stronger commitments to social justice, and robust measures to combat corruption within state institutions.
