Shaheed El Hafed, August 6, 2025 (SPS) – The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, chaired an expanded meeting on Wednesday dedicated to the issue of water.
The meeting was attended by the Prime Minister and member of the National Secretariat, Mr. Bouchraya Hammoudi Bayoun, the Minister of Water and Environment and member of the National Secretariat, Mr. Adda Brahim, as well as the Ministers of Interior, Transport, and Energy, and the governors of the wilayas of the Republic.
At the outset of the meeting, President Brahim Ghali emphasized that water is a vital issue and must be treated as a top priority, requiring cooperation between all national institutions and partner entities. He stressed "the necessity of raising public awareness on rationalizing water consumption."
The meeting discussed the plan for a campaign set to launch next Saturday, August 8, along with other key points related to water and environmental management. Additional topics included ways to combat water-related damages, ensure a consistently clean and balanced environment, and safeguard the well-being and security of citizens—all in preparation for the upcoming national campaign and the next social season.
