Shaheed Al-Hafed, May 5, 2025 (SPS) – The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, received this morning at the presidency the new leadership of the General Union of Workers of Saguia El-Hamra and Rio de Oro (UGTSARIO), along with the former Secretary-General of the organization.
The reception was attended by the head of the Political Organization Secretariat, Amarbih Mami Dai, Prime Minister, Bushraya Hamoudi Beyoun, the secretaries of mass organizations, the presidency of the Congress, and the presidency of the Preparatory Committee.
During the meeting, the President of the Republic commended the outcomes of the 10th UGTSARIO Congress, held from the 18th to the 20th of April. He addressed the regional, national, and international developments characterizing the current situation, emphasizing the need for preparedness and vigilance in the face of enemy conspiracies, as well as the importance of workers' struggle in guiding public opinion toward the goals of our people in freedom and independence.
The President of the Republic highlighted the pivotal role of mass organizations in training and preparing cadres to keep pace with the transformations of today's world, stressing the necessity of maintaining unity in ranks, discourse, and continuous struggle until the end of occupation and the achievement of sovereignty.
The event included the presentation of copies of the Congress resolutions to the President of the Republic and the Political Organization Secretariat by the presidency of the Congress and the UGTSARIO Secretariat. A documentary film was also shown, detailing the preparatory process of the Congress, the conditions under which it was held, and the results it produced.
