Mexico City, Mexico – April 26, 2025 (SPS) – The Sahrawi Ambassador to Mexico, Mokhtar Labehi, participated in the proceedings of the 12th National Congress of the Mexican Workers' Party, which began today, Saturday, in the capital, Mexico City. The event brought together over a thousand national delegates, along with a distinguished Mexican and international political parties.
During his address, the Sahrawi Ambassador read a congratulatory message from President Brahim Ghali, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front. The letter conveyed the President’s greetings to the party on his own behalf and on behalf of the people, government of the Sahrawi Republic, and the Polisario Front. He expressed gratitude to the Mexican Workers' Party for its principled stance in support of the Sahrawi people’s just struggle for freedom and independence.
President Ghali praised the party’s solidarity efforts, not only within Mexico but also across Latin America and international forums. He also commended the strong bilateral relations between the Polisario Front and the PT, as well as between the peoples and governments of Mexico and the Sahrawi Republic, wishing the party success in its congress.
