
Shaheed El-Hafed (Refugee Camps), 4 April 2025 (SPS) – The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, has carried out a partial cabinet reshuffle and signed several presidential decrees concerning organizational reforms, according to a statement released Friday by the Sahrawi Presidency.
The statement indicates that President Ghali signed five presidential decrees on Thursday.
The first decree separates the Ministry of Religious Affairs from the Ministry of Justice.
The second decree appoints Mohamed Salem Salek as Minister of State for Diplomatic Affairs at the Presidency of the Sahrawi Republic.
The third decree, concerning a partial government reshuffle, includes the following key appointments: Abdelkader Taleb Omar as Minister of Education and Vocational Training, Sid Ahmed Aliat as Minister of Religious Affairs, Mohamed Yeslem Bisset as Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Affairs, Daf Mohamed Fadel and Abida Sheikh as Ministerial Advisors to the Prime Minister.
The fourth decree introduces partial changes within the governors' corps (regional administrations).
The fifth decree concerns appointments in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including the nomination of Mohamed Sidati as SADR Representative to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland.
