Bir Lehlou (Liberated Territories), March 3, 2025 (SPS) – Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has reaffirmed his country's solidarity with the just Sahrawi cause and its unwavering support for the legitimate right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination and independence.
In a congratulatory message sent to the President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, on the occasion of the 49th anniversary of the proclamation of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, President Tebboune expressed his congratulations on behalf of himself, the Algerian government, and the Algerian people to the Sahrawi people.
The Algerian President reiterated to his Sahrawi counterpart Algeria's permanent solidarity with the just cause of the Sahrawi people and its steadfast support for its legitimate right to self-determination and independence, in accordance with the charters of the United Nations and the African Union.
President Tebboune concluded his message to the Sahrawi President by stating, "I also reaffirm Algeria's commitment, as a member of the United Nations Security Council, to continue its approach of upholding the truth and reinforcing the principles of international law and international legitimacy."
