Havana (Cuba), February 18, 2025 (SPS) – The Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) received the Secretary-General of the Sahrawi Union of Journalists and Writers, Mr. Nafei Ahmed, as part of a working visit to Cuba lasting several days.
The Sahrawi journalists' leader praised Cuba's steadfast position in supporting the struggles of peoples for freedom and independence, despite the difficult circumstances Cuba continues to endure due to the blockade and hostile policies. He highlighted Cuba as a model of resistance and resilience for all free people around the world.
Both sides emphasized the importance of enhancing and promoting cooperation between the two organizations, particularly in the areas of journalist training, joint advocacy efforts, and the exchange of media strategies in light of the ongoing global transformations.
