Bir Lehlu (Liberated Territories), November 28, 2024 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, congratulated his Mauritanian counterpart, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, on the occasion of the 64th anniversary of his country's independence, on November 28.
In his congratulatory message, President Brahim Ghali stated, "This is a significant day in the history of the Mauritanian people, marking a long journey of resistance and struggle for freedom and liberation from the yoke of colonialism, which has formed the starting point for a new path dedicated to building a fully sovereign independent state. Today, under your wise leadership, it is moving forward with determination and steadfastness to establish its rightful place in the region, Africa, and the world.
“We in the Sahrawi Republic take great pride in the bonds of brotherhood, friendship, and shared destiny that unite the Mauritanian and Sahrawi peoples. We all share a sincere and firm commitment to strengthening these ties at all levels and enhancing cooperation and coordination between the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and the Sahrawi Republic, for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples and the legitimate aspirations of the peoples of the region for security, peace, development, and prosperity," added the President Brahim Ghali.
