Bir Lehlou (Sahrawi Republic), March 28, 2024 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, congratulated Thursday Mr. Bassirou Diomaye Faye on his election as the new President of the Republic of Senegal.
On behalf of the Sahrawi people and government, and on his own behalf, President Brahim Ghali extended his warmest congratulations to President Bassirou Diomaye Faye, wishing him all the best in serving the brotherly Senegalese people.
President Brahim Ghali took the opportunity to reaffirm the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two brotherly peoples, the Sahrawi and Senegalese peoples, renewing his constant readiness to work and coordinate to strengthen the bonds of friendship and partnership between the two brotherly peoples in order to raise them to a high level that meets the aspirations of the two peoples.
Bassirou Diomaye Faye, 44, was elected in the 12th presidential election held last Sunday, 24 March.
