The Special Envoy of the President of the Republic received by the Chairperson of the African Union Commission

Addis Ababa (African Union), October 26, 2023 (SPS) - The Ambassador of the Sahrawi Republic to South Africa, Mr. Mohamed Yeslam Beisat, was received on Tuesday by the Chairperson of the African Commission, Mr. Moussa Fakih Mohamed, as a Special Envoy of the President of the Republic, Mr. Brahim Ghali, at the headquarters of the African Union in Addis Ababa

The Sahrawi Envoy delivered a written message to Mr. Moussa Fakih Mohamed, from the President of the Republic and Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali.

Mr. Mohamed Yeslam Beisat, also briefed the Chairperson of the African Union Commission on the latest international and regional developments related to the Sahrawi issue, reiterating the insistence of the Sahrawi state to continue defending the rights of the Sahrawi people by all legitimate means and to continue working within the African Union in order to achieve the goals and objectives of African unity.

For his part, the Chairperson of the African Commission welcomed his guest and thanked the Sahrawi President for continuing to inform the Commission of the situation in the Sahrawi Republic.

It is worth noting that the Personal Envoy of the President of the Republic was accompanied in this meeting by the Permanent Representative of the Sahrawi Republic to the African Union, Lamman Abaali, Deputy Permanent Representative, Ambassador Malainin Lakhal, and the Media Attaché, Rguibi Abdallah, while Mr. Moussa Fakih Mohamed was accompanied by the Director of his office, Mr. Mohamed Labat Mohamed Lahsan, and his spokeswoman.
