National Defense Ministry denies propaganda claims published by Washington Post

Bir Lehlou (Liberated Territories), April 15, 2025 (SPS) – The National Defense Ministry has clarified that the propaganda claims reported by The Washington Post in one of its articles—alleging the presence of Sahrawi prisoners in Syria, on one hand, and Sahrawi fighters receiving training in Iran, on the other—are entirely baseless.

In a statement, the National Defense Ministry emphasized that these claims aim to tarnish the legitimate struggle of the Sahrawi people, reaffirming that the Sahrawi People’s Liberation Army possesses sufficient expertise, capabilities, and experience to train and qualify its personnel without resorting to any external assistance.
