Évry-sur-Seine (France), March 31, 2025 (SPS) – The Polisario Front’s representative in France, Mr. Mohamed Ali Zerouali, commended the solidarity shown by activists supporting Sahrawi political prisoners in Moroccan jails.
Zerouali, speaking during the launch of the "March for Freedom"—a walk led by activist Claude Mangin from France to Kenitra, Morocco, to demand the release of Sahrawi political prisoners held in Moroccan jails—expressed his gratitude to the mayor of Évry-sur-Seine, local officials, and the attending associations. He emphasized that their support is "a source of courage and hope" for the Sahrawi people.
The Sahrawi diplomat praised the role of the Association of Friends of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (AARASD) and the Sahrawi community in France, singling out Claude Mangin, the wife of imprisoned activist Naama Asfari, describing her as "a source of pride" for her sacrifices and struggle. He stressed that the march aims to break the silence surrounding "victims of Moroccan repression" who demand "the right to self-determination."
