Shaheed El Hafed (Refugee Camps), 24 February 2025 (SPS) - The President of the Sahrawi Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, reaffirmed that the Sahrawi people will continue its struggle on all fronts until the full sovereignty of the Sahrawi Republic over its entire national territory is achieved.
Mr. Ghali, while overseeing the opening of the sixth ordinary session of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front on Monday, noted that "this session convenes as the Sahrawi people commemorate the 49th anniversary of the establishment of its state, the Sahrawi Republic, which represents a decisive and tangible embodiment of its unwavering will for freedom, self-determination, and independence."
The Sahrawi President stated: "The occupying Moroccan state has opened the door to colonial and Zionist agendas in our region, not to mention its continued aggressive policies based on expansion, the intensive trafficking of drugs, and the support and encouragement of transnational organized crime gangs and terrorist groups, which threaten the entire region."
The Sahrawi President emphasized that "these are pressing challenges that require the peoples and countries of the region to unite efforts and coordinate to confront the looming dangers."
He added: "The past period has witnessed the enhancement of our country's standing on the international stage, particularly at the level of the continental organization, where it regularly and equally contributes with its sister African countries to various programs and activities of the Union at all levels. It has also thwarted all the desperate and continuous attempts by the occupying Moroccan state to undermine its position."
