Shaheed Elhafed, December 9, 2024 (SPS) — The government of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic has indicated that it is closely following the developments in Syria, expressing its sympathy and solidarity with the brotherly people of Syria.
In a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the government affirmed its confidence that the Syrian people would overcome difficulties and achieve their legitimate goals of freedom, dignity, and democracy, while maintaining their cohesion and unity.
The Sahrawi government called on the world to stand alongside Syria and its people in their efforts to build democratic institutions based on their will, respecting the unity and integrity of its territory, away from any foreign interference.
"Syria today has a great need to secure its borders and protect its interests in order to guarantee stability and comfort for itself and its people, allowing it to enter an era of growth and development within the limits of freedom, democracy, and unity," the statement said.
