Tiflet 2 (Morocco), September 26, 2026 (SPS) – The nine Sahrawi prisoners on hunger strike have renewed their pledge to continue their struggle until freedom and independence are achieved, in fulfillment of their commitment to the martyrs.
In a message addressed to the Sahrawi people in all their places of residence, the prisoners said: “We remain committed to our pledge, and we renew our commitment to you to continue moving forward toward freedom and independence, in fulfillment of our commitment to the martyrs.”
Addressing the Sahrawi people, the prisoners said: “Your support for us under the most difficult circumstances surrounding us is an antidote and a balm for our wounds. Any step, idea, or initiative, however simple, is for us a powerful push toward freedom, dignity, and human dignity.”
The prisoners reaffirmed that the long years they have spent in prison “mean nothing compared with a mother’s tear for a martyr or a missing person, nor do they mean anything compared with a single moment experienced by those abducted in Agdez and Magouna.”
