Awserd (Refugee Camps), October 5, 2024 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, affirmed that widespread and responsible popular participation is the guarantee and essential condition for the success of administration, security, and justice.
In his speech during the opening of the National Conference on Administration and Security in the wilaya of Awserd, President Brahim Ghali stressed that the focus should be on popular security awareness, as outlined in the National Action Program. He emphasized that conscious and responsible popular participation is not only a guarantee but the fundamental condition for the success of administration, security, and justice in terms of management, deterrence, and prevention.
He added that neither the administration and its structures, nor the judiciary and its legal arsenal, or the security apparatus and its methods can achieve the required effectiveness unless the principles, goals, needs, and capacities of the movement and the state, as well as the uniqueness of the national context, are taken into account.
President Brahim Ghali stressed that the challenge before this conference is to succeed in reviewing past experiences and practices, while formulating visions, ideas, and even plans that ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the existing interconnection and integration between these sectors, by creating tight coordination, close and continuous communication, and ongoing performance development, while ensuring conscious popular participation at all stages of this national effort.
