Vienna, June 26, 2024 (SPS) - Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, received, today, the President of the Austrian-Sahrawi Friendship Group, Mrs. Karin Schiele, as part of his official visit to the Federal Republic of Austria, according to a statement from the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting was - according to the same statement - "an opportunity to learn about the activities of the Austrian-Sahrawi Friendship Group and the support and services it provides in various fields in support of the Sahrawi people and their just cause."
The two parties also, added the statement "reviewed the developments in the Western Sahara issue at the diplomatic level and the prospects for continuing and intensifying efforts to strengthen international support for the Sahrawi people in order to enable them to exercise their inalienable and imprescriptible right to self-determination, in accordance with the relevant international legitimacy resolutions issued by the United Nations or the African Union."
