Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), 17 February 2024 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, arrived friday in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, to participate in the 37th session of the African Union Summit.
The President of the Republic was welcomed at the airport by the Ethiopian official in charge of protocols, and on the Sahrawi side by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohamed Sidati, the Ambassador in charge of Africa Mohamed Yeslem Beissat, the Minister of Education and Vocational Training Khatri Adouh, the Minister of Public Health Saleck Baba Hassena, the Permanent Ambassador to the African Union and Ethiopia Lamine Abaali, the Legal Advisor to the Presidency of the Republic Ahmed Sidi Ali, and members of the Sahrawi Embassy in Ethiopia.
The session begins this Saturday and will last for two days. It will discuss the agenda submitted by the 44th session of the Executive Council of the African Union, which covers all aspects related to the continent and its relations with international entities and organizations, and agreements at the level of the continent or with international bodies.
