Shaheed El Hafed, 22 July 2026 (SPS) – The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, received Wednesday the members of the Preparatory Committee for the Fifth Congress of the Union of Students of Saguia El Hamra and Rio de Oro (UESARIO).
The meeting, held at the Presidency of the Republic, provided an opportunity to review the progress of preparations and assess the efforts undertaken to ensure the appropriate conditions for the successful organization of the Fifth Congress of the UESARIO, regarded as an important organizational, political, and national milestone.
In his remarks on the occasion, President Brahim Ghali stressed that the renewed liberation war requires the capabilities and expertise of the student community, praising the pivotal role played by students in both the struggles for national liberation and state-building.
President Brahim Ghali briefed the students on the latest developments concerning the Sahrawi cause at both the international and regional levels, as well as the ongoing efforts to find a solution that guarantees the Sahrawi people's right to self-determination and independence.
