Harare (Zimbabwe), 27 March 2026 (SPS) – The President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Mnangagwa, has extended warm congratulations to his Sahrawi counterpart, Brahim Ghali, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the proclamation of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic.
In a message addressed to President Ghali, President Mnangagwa expressed his appreciation for the invitation to attend the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of the Frente POLISARIO, congratulating him and the movement on what he described as an important milestone.
“Allow me to extend my warm congratulations to you and to Polisario Front on this milestone,” the Zimbabwean president said.
The Zimbabwean Head of State reaffirmed his country’s commitment to strengthening the historic ties between Zimbabwe and the Sahrawi Republic, underlining the enduring bonds of friendship and solidarity between the two nations.
“I would like to re-affirm my commitment to continue working closely with you… to further strengthen and broaden the strong bonds of friendship and solidarity that have characterised the historical relations between Zimbabwe and the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic,” he said.
