NUSW Secretary-General meets with Brazilian Minister for Women

Brasilia (Brazil), 14 November 2025 (SPS) — The Secretary-General of the Sahrawi National Union of Women (NUSW), Ms. Chaba Sainy, held talks with the Brazilian Minister for Women, Ms. Marcia López, on the sidelines of her participation in a climate summit.

Chaba Sainy briefed the Brazilian minister on the struggles of Sahrawi women in the refugee camps, the occupied cities, and the diaspora, as well as their pivotal role in both the liberation struggle and the institutional-building process of the Sahrawi state.

The NUSW Secretary-General invited the Brazilian minister to visit the refugee camps to gain a deeper understanding of the situation of Sahrawi women and to witness their vital role in construction and development.
