Algiers, June 20, 2025 (SPS) – The Minister of Culture, Mr. Moussa Selma Leabeid, was received by his Algerian counterpart, the Minister of Culture and Arts, Mr. Zohir Bellou.
This meeting takes place within the framework of the international cultural event "Algiers, Capital of Hassani Culture," which will open on Saturday morning at the Palace of Culture with broad and diverse participation from Algeria, Western Sahara, and Mauritania.
The Sahrawi delegation includes writers, poets, lecturers, artists, filmmakers, as well as a traditional tent and a diverse cultural exhibition featuring traditional crafts, cultural publications, and historical manuscripts.
The event will last three days, during which various cultural activities will be organized, exploring different aspects of Hassani culture.
The Mauritanian Minister of Culture, Communication, and Parliamentary Relations is expected to arrive in Algiers tonight as a guest, leading a high-level cultural delegation to participate in the event.
