President of Republic oversees graduation ceremony of students from Simón Bolívar High School

Smara Wilaya (Dignity Camps), May 11, 2026 (SPS) – The President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, supervised on Sunday the graduation ceremony of the tenth class of students from the national Simón Bolívar High School.

The event coincided with the 53rd anniversary of the founding of the POLISARIO Front, and was attended, in addition to the Minister of Education and Vocational Training, Abdelkader Taleb Omar, by the Venezuelan Ambassador to Algeria and the Sahrawi Republic, Imad Saab Saab, accompanied by the Consul of the Venezuelan Embassy in Algeria, as well as the National Director of Pre-University Education at the Cuban Ministry of Education.

Also present were members of the government, the National Council, and the diplomatic corps, representatives of the Cuban health and education missions, representatives of non-governmental organizations supporting education in the Sahrawi refugee camps, teachers and educational support staff of the institution, as well as the graduating students and their families.

During the ceremony, the graduating students received their secondary school completion certificates.

In his speech on the occasion, the Minister of Education and Vocational Training highlighted the importance of the national Simón Bolívar High School in training hundreds of qualified students who go on to pursue university studies, as well as its role in educating generations in support of the Sahrawi national project.

Likewise, guests of the Sahrawi people stressed in their speeches the importance of this educational institution in strengthening the values of solidarity between the Sahrawi people and the peoples of Cuba and Venezuela.
