Shaheed El Hafed, 23 March 2026 (SPS) – The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Mr. Brahim Ghali, received the new Chief of the General Staff of the Sahrawi People’s Liberation Army, Hamma Salama, and the outgoing Chief of Staff, Mohamed El-Wali Akeik.
The meeting addressed issues related to the military institution and the future prospects of the new Chief of Staff, Hamma Salama.
The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, had earlier issued a presidential decree introducing changes within the military institution, appointing Hamma Salama as Chief of the General Staff of the Sahrawi People’s Liberation Army.
