Shaheed Hafed, September 27, 2025 (SPS) - Minister of Culture, Mousa Selma, received Friday a delegation from the Italian Solidarity Movement, which is currently leading a working and solidarity visit to the Sahrawi refugee camps.
The delegation consists of the renowned Italian group, "Gruppo de Marechiaro Films," which has a distinguished reputation and standing in the field of documentaries. The group has previously produced a documentary about the struggle and resilience of the Sahrawi people in previous years, which is the same objective of their current visit to the Sahrawi refugee camps, coordinated with the Polisario Front representation in Italy.
The delegation will document part of the daily lives of some Sahrawi children who spent their holidays in Italy under the "Holidays in Peace" program, the experience of the Sahrawi state in building national institutions, and will organize meetings with some national authorities, in addition to holding a workshop with the National Film School.
During the meeting, the Minister praised the stance and solidarity of the Italian Solidarity Movement and its role in supporting the struggle and resilience of the Sahrawi people, emphasizing the importance of cinema and culture in general in raising awareness and advocating for the Sahrawi cause.
