State Minister in Charge of Diplomatic Affairs takes part in Bolivia’s independence anniversary celebrations

La Paz (Bolivia), August 6, 2025 (SPS) — Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Salek, the State Minister in Charge of Diplomatic Affairs at the Presidency of the Republic, member of the National Secretariat, participated Wednesday as the representative of the President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. brahim Ghali, in the celebrations marking the bicentennial of Bolivia’s independence.

On this occasion, President Luis Arce invited six heads of delegations to attend a breakfast banquet before the start of the celebrations, with the Sahrawi delegation among them.

At the Casa de la Libertad (House of Freedom), where the Bolivian Parliament convened with both chambers, the President delivered a speech to the nation in the presence of over 40 foreign delegations. He highlighted the significance and importance of the event, reflecting on the achievements made by his government during his term, which is nearing its end.

During his speech, the Bolivian President acknowledged the delegation of the Sahrawi Republic among the many participating nations in the independence celebrations, 200 years after its declaration on August 6, 1825.
