Shaheed El Hafed, May 29, 2025 (SPS) – The Prime Minister, member of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, Mr. Bouchraya Hammoudi Bayoun, received today, Thursday, a Spanish delegation from the region of La Rioja, which is visiting the Sahrawi refugee camps and state institutions.
During the meeting, held at the Presidency of the Republic, the Prime Minister welcomed the delegation and briefed them on the latest developments in the national cause, thanking them for their steadfast support for the Sahrawi people in their just struggle.
The Prime Minister expressed his deep appreciation for the supportive stances demonstrated by the solidarity movement in Spain, praising the efforts of La Rioja in backing the Sahrawi people’s inalienable right to freedom and independence.
The Spanish parliamentary delegation reaffirmed to the Prime Minister their commitment to advocating for the Sahrawi people’s rights in Spanish forums, pressuring the Sánchez government to reverse its biased position and stand in line with international law.
The visit of the delegation, composed of various political parties and solidarity associations, aims to reaffirm their pledge to the Sahrawi people and their cause, strengthening bonds of solidarity and brotherhood between La Rioja and the Sahrawi people. The region has consistently supported the Sahrawi struggle through humanitarian projects in various fields, such as healthcare.
The delegation was accompanied by the Polisario Front’s representative in La Rioja, Mr. Mohamed Lebbat Sayed.
