Istanbul (Turkey), May 22, 2025 (SPS) – A Sahrawi women's delegation is participating in a meeting in Istanbul, Turkey, on women's rights issues, at the invitation of Socialist Women.
The two-day meeting, held on May 21 and 22, includes the participation of Shaba Seini, Secretary-General of the National Union of Sahrawi Women, and Abeida Mohamed Bouzid, Polisario Front representative in Denmark.
The opening session featured interventions from various socialist leaders, highlighting women's rights, social justice, and ways to achieve peace in a world facing rapid political and economic changes.
The meeting discusses the role of local and international governments in promoting human rights and equal opportunities for all women worldwide, as well as mechanisms to strengthen international cooperation on key women's issues.
