Algiers, May 19, 2025 (SPS) – Mr. Abdelkader Taleb Omar, a member of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, was received by the President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, as he paid a farewell visit following the end of his tenure as ambassador to Algeria.
According to the Algerian Press Service (APS), the meeting was attended by Mr. Boualem Boualem, Director of the Office of the Algerian Presidency, and Mr. Amar Abba, Diplomatic Advisor to the President.
Additionally, Abdelkader Taleb Omar was received by Algerian Minister of State and Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, who also bid him farewell upon the conclusion of his diplomatic mission in Algeria. The Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a farewell ceremony in honor of Ambassador Abdelkader Taleb Omar, attended by the diplomatic corps accredited in Algeria and officials from the Algerian Foreign Ministry.
Mr. Abdelkader Taleb Omar was also welcomed and bid farewell by numerous Algerian political parties, organizations, and civil society groups.
Mr. Abdelkader Taleb Omar has been appointed as the head of the Social Affairs Committee, a member of the Permanent Bureau of the National Secretariat, and the Minister of Education and Vocational Training in the Sahrawi government.
