Hyderabad (India), April 26, 2025 (SPS) – A Sahrawi delegation, headed by Ambassador Brahim Mokhtar, the Sahrawi Foreign Ministry's Chargé d'Affaires for Asia, is participating in two separate meetings in Hyderabad, India, held between April 24 and 26, 2025.
The first meeting, organized by the Indian National Congress under the name "Bharat Summit," was held under the slogan "Achieving Global Justice." It saw the participation of most political parties belonging to the Progressive Alliance, including Polisario Front.
The summit aimed to strengthen and coordinate the efforts of progressive forces worldwide to achieve a world of freedom, equality, brotherhood, and justice amid the dangerous conditions and uncertainties facing the global community today.
The second meeting was the annual session of the Progressive Alliance Group, which extensively discussed the current international situation, the rise of right-wing and far-right movements in many countries, and their negative repercussions on the economic, political, and social conditions—particularly in the Global South.
In the final statement of both meetings, participants reaffirmed the right of peoples to self-determination, condemned aggression against nations and peoples, and denounced all forms of expansionism and occupation.
