Mohamed Yeslem Beissat assumes duties as Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Affairs

Shaheed Al-Hafed, April 13, 2025 (SPS) – Mohamed Yeslem Beissat officially assumed his duties as Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Affairs on Saturday, succeeding Mohamed Sidati, who was appointed as the Polisario Front's representative to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland. This change was made pursuant to a presidential decree issued by President Brahim Ghali, enacting a partial reshuffle within the government.

The handover ceremony was overseen by the Prime Minister, member of the National Secretariat, Mr. Bouchraya Hammoudi Bayoun, in the presence of the Minister of State for Diplomatic Affairs at the Presidency of the Republic and member of the National Secretariat, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Salek, along with the leadership council of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In a statement to the media, Mohamed Yeslem Beissat reaffirmed his commitment to exerting all efforts to implement the programs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as approved by the National Council.
