Shaheed El-Hafed, January 23, 2025 (SPS) - The offices of the Union of Sahrawi Journalists and Writers (UPES) hosted a conference on Thursday themed: "The Judicial Process Before European Courts: Objectives, Achievements, and Perspectives," as well as "Concepts in Diplomatic Relations: Recognition, Freezing, and Withdrawal of Recognition."
The conference, moderated by the Representative of the Polisario Front in Switzerland, at the United Nations, and the international organizations in Geneva, Oubbi Boushraya, and attended by national officials and media.
It began with a speech by the Secretary-General of the Union of Sahrawi Writers, Journalists, and Authors, Nafei Ahmed Mohamed, who welcomed the participants, emphasizing the importance of such meetings to equip Sahrawi officials and media with information about the legal battle.
For his part, the representative of the Students Union (UESARIO) praised the choice of the theme for its significance, considering that recent rulings by the European Court of Justice represent a major achievement for the Sahrawi people, who must intensify efforts to take advantage of these rulings.
It is worth noting that the conference was organized by UESARIO in collaboration with UPES.
