South Africa, July 24, 2025 (SPS) – The President of the National Council (Parliament), Mr. Hamma Salama, met yesterday, Wednesday, with the President of the Pan-African Parliament, Chief Fortune Charumbira.
The meeting, held on the sidelines of the Fifth Ordinary Session of the Pan-African Parliament, discussed developments in the national cause, bilateral relations, and common issues between the Sahrawi National Council and the Pan-African Parliament.
The President of the Pan-African Parliament reaffirmed the firm and unwavering position of the Pan-African Parliament in supporting and standing in solidarity with the Sahrawi people in their legitimate struggle for freedom and self-determination, in line with the decisions of the United Nations and the African Union.
He emphasized that his invitation to the President of the Sahrawi Parliament to the Pan-African Parliament was a confirmation of this stance.
