Maputo (Mozambique), January 17, 2025 (SPS) - The Minister of Foreign Affairs, member of the Secretariat of the Polisario Front, Mr. Mohamed Sidati, was received today, Friday, at the presidential palace in Maputo, by the President of Mozambique, Mr. Daniel Francisco Chapo, in his capacity as a special envoy from the President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali.
During the meeting, Mohamed Sidati conveyed the sincere and deep congratulations and greetings of President Brahim Ghali, to the newly elected President of Mozambique following his victory as the President of the brotherly state of Mozambique, wishing him every success and prosperity for him and his government and people.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed the Sahrawi Republic's willingness to strengthen and enhance ties of solidarity and cooperation with Mozambique under the leadership of President Daniel Chapo, stating, "Your dedication to achieving justice, peace, and development deeply aligns with our shared aspirations for a united and prosperous Africa."
During the meeting, the President of Mozambique reaffirmed his unconditional solidarity with the Sahrawi people's struggle and their just cause, recalling the suffering his country endured from the ravages of colonialism.
