Wilaya of Smara, January 15, 2025 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, received a Spanish delegation from the Asturias region at the conclusion of their visit to the refugee camps and Sahrawi state institutions.
During the meeting held in the conference room in the wilaya of Smara, President Brahim Ghali welcomed the delegation and briefed them on the latest developments in the national cause on all fronts, expressing gratitude for their ongoing support of the Sahrawi people in its just struggle.
The President of the Republic expressed his deep appreciation for the supportive positions demonstrated by the solidarity movement in Spain, praising the efforts of the Asturias region in supporting the Sahrawi people's unwavering right to freedom and independence.
For their part, the members of the Spanish delegation reaffirmed their commitment to continue their solidarity and advocacy work alongside the Sahrawi people, emphasizing the importance of enhancing joint cooperation and developing humanitarian support projects.
This visit is part of the celebration of three decades of solidarity and brotherhood between Asturias and the Sahrawi people, during which the region has accompanied the Sahrawi struggle through humanitarian projects in education, health, food security, and community development.
