Wilaya of Smara, December 31, 2024 (SPS) - The Ministry of Education and Vocational Training celebrated Tuesday National Education Day, attended by Prime Minister and National Secretariat member Bushraya Hamoudi Beyoun, along with members of the National Secretariat and government, as well as educational staff from various institutions and wilayas.
The Minister of Education and Vocational Training, National Secretariat member, Khatri Adouh, paid tribute to the Sahrawi educational staff on this national day, emphasizing the importance of their efforts in nurturing generations and the invaluable services they provide to the cause.
Khatri Adouh noted that December 31 has been designated as National Education Day, continuing from the Akleibat Fula meeting on December 31, 1975, in recognition of the contributions made by educational workers despite the challenges posed by the situation of exile and limited resources. He highlighted that, despite these difficulties, the State and the Polisario Front have maintained free education for all children of school age.
The Minister reaffirmed the sacred mission carried out by Sahrawi educators in preparing generations capable of carrying the torch and continuing the path to liberation.
The National Education Day also featured the honoring of several educational staff members in recognition of their efforts and the services they have provided.
